This policy covers njmmechanicalandcontracting.com, operated by NJM Mechanical & Contracting Corp. It describes what this website collects and what happens to it. It does not cover information you give us in person, on the phone, or on a job site.

What we collect

Information you give us

If you fill in a request form we collect your first and last name, phone number, email address, ZIP code, the service you selected, your property type, how urgent the job is, and anything you type into the description box. All of those fields except the description are required in order to respond to you.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, ours records standard technical information through analytics and advertising cookies — pages viewed, approximate location based on IP address, device and browser type, how you arrived, and whether you tapped a phone number or submitted a form. This is used to understand which pages and adverts bring in work.

How we use it

• To respond to your request and quote or schedule the work.
• To contact you about that job by phone, text or email.
• To send seasonal maintenance reminders and offers by email and text, but only to people who asked for them.
• To measure which pages and adverts produce enquiries.
• To keep records we are required to keep as a licensed contractor.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with other contractors or lead-selling services.

Who we share it with

Only the services that make the website work. Each one receives only what it needs:

• Salesforce — form submissions are recorded in our customer system so the job can be tracked.
• Resend — sends us the notification email that tells us a request has come in.
• Google (Analytics and Ads) — website usage and conversion measurement. Where enhanced conversions are enabled, your email address, phone number and ZIP code may be used to measure advert performance. These are converted to an irreversible hash in your own browser before they are sent; Google does not receive the plain values from this site.
• Mailchimp — holds the email list, and only the addresses of people who asked to be on it.
• Our messaging provider — delivers the text messages we send you. It receives your number in order to deliver a message and for no other purpose.
• Vercel — hosts the website and keeps standard server logs.

All of the categories above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent. That information is not shared with any third party.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

Text messages and your mobile number

If you send us a request through this website, you agree that we may contact you by phone, text and email about that request. Seasonal maintenance reminders and offers are a separate ask, with a separate box for email and another for text — tick either, both or neither. Those boxes are never ticked for you, ticking them is not a condition of any purchase, and we never add anyone because they once called us.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop them, or HELP for help. The full terms are on our Text Message Terms page.

No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your mobile number and your consent are not sold, and are not passed to other contractors or to lead-selling services. The only company that receives your number is the provider that delivers the message on our behalf.

Cookies and advertising

We use Google Analytics and the Google Ads tag. These set cookies that help us see which adverts lead to enquiries, and may be used to show you our adverts on other sites you visit. You can opt out of personalised Google advertising at myadcenter.google.com, opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on, and block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them does not stop you using the site or contacting us.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and customer records are kept for as long as we are working with you and afterwards for as long as we need them for warranty, tax and licensing purposes. Analytics data is kept on Google's standard retention schedule.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call 631-587-0085 or email Info@NJMContracting.com and tell us what you need. If you ask us to stop contacting you, we will — reply STOP to any text, or just say so.

Children

This site is for adults arranging work on a property. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If we change what we collect or who we share it with, we will update this page and the date below.
