What we collect
Information you give us
If you fill in a request form we collect your first and last name, phone number, email address, ZIP code, the service you selected, your property type, how urgent the job is, and anything you type into the description box. All of those fields except the description are required in order to respond to you.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, ours records standard technical information through analytics and advertising cookies — pages viewed, approximate location based on IP address, device and browser type, how you arrived, and whether you tapped a phone number or submitted a form. This is used to understand which pages and adverts bring in work.
How we use it
- To respond to your request and quote or schedule the work.
- To contact you about that job by phone, text or email.
- To measure which pages and adverts produce enquiries.
- To keep records we are required to keep as a licensed contractor.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with other contractors or lead-selling services.
Who we share it with
Only the services that make the website work. Each one receives only what it needs:
- Salesforce — form submissions are recorded in our customer system so the job can be tracked.
- Resend — sends us the notification email that tells us a request has come in.
- Google (Analytics and Ads) — website usage and conversion measurement. Where enhanced conversions are enabled, your email address, phone number and ZIP code may be used to measure advert performance. These are converted to an irreversible hash in your own browser before they are sent; Google does not receive the plain values from this site.
- Vercel — hosts the website and keeps standard server logs.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
Cookies and advertising
We use Google Analytics and the Google Ads tag. These set cookies that help us see which adverts lead to enquiries, and may be used to show you our adverts on other sites you visit. You can opt out of personalised Google advertising at myadcenter.google.com, opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on, and block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them does not stop you using the site or contacting us.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and customer records are kept for as long as we are working with you and afterwards for as long as we need them for warranty, tax and licensing purposes. Analytics data is kept on Google's standard retention schedule.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call 631-587-0085 or email Info@NJMContracting.com and tell us what you need. If you ask us to stop contacting you, we will — reply STOP to any text, or just say so.
Children
This site is for adults arranging work on a property. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
