The two kinds of text we send
Messages about a job you asked us about. When you send us a request through this website, or give us your number on the phone, you agree we can reach you by phone, text and email about that request — confirming an appointment, telling you a technician is on the way, asking a question we need answered before we can quote. These are the messages you asked for by contacting us, and they stop when the job is done.
Seasonal reminders and offers. Marketing messages — a reminder before the heating season turns, a current offer. These only ever go to people who ticked the box on our request form asking for them. The box is never ticked for you, and we never add anyone because they once called us. Agreeing to them is not a condition of any purchase, and declining them changes nothing about the work we do for you.
How often
Message frequency varies. Messages about a job depend on the job. Reminders and offers are occasional and seasonal — this is a contractor, not a retailer.
Cost
We do not charge for text messages. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan and carrier. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any message and we will stop texting you. You will get one confirmation that it worked, and nothing after that. You can also call 631-587-0085 or email Info@NJMContracting.com and tell us to stop, and we will.
Stopping texts does not cancel your job or remove you as a customer — we will call you instead. If you change your mind, reply START or tell us and we will turn them back on.
How to get help
Reply HELP to any message for contact details, or call 631-587-0085 during business hours — Monday to Friday 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Saturday 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Our emergency line is answered around the clock.
What happens to your mobile number
No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from every category of information we share with anyone — that information is not shared with any third party, and it is never sold. We do not sell or pass your number to other contractors or to lead-selling services.
Your number is handled by the messaging provider that delivers the message for us, and it is stored on your record in our customer system so we know who agreed to what and when. Nothing else.
Carriers and devices
Messages may not be deliverable to every carrier or handset, and delivery is not guaranteed. If a message does not arrive, we will call you.
Changes
If we change what we send or how we send it, we will update this page and the date below.
